Undoubtedly though, it was the track action that brought the show to life; the banking around the circuit was crowded with spectators from start to finish. As well as the public and club sessions, Driftworks were back for a fourth year to put on two spectacular drifting demos. A handful of lucky winners were also given the rare experience of a drift passenger ride. Off track, the Driftworks stand was home to one of the standout cars of the show, their brand new 2JZ engined S15.
The trade area also played host to fantastic display cars from some of the leading names in the industry. The cars weren’t the only reason that stands were busy though, with thousands of bargain hunters making the most of the show discounts on offer.
The surrounding areas were filled with car club displays, which featured some equally impressive motors. Special mentions go to MkIVSupra.net for their display of 135 immaculate cars, the Z Club for their usual showing of a great range of cars and Eight Six for bringing together 26 top quality retro Toyotas. However, the prize for best club stand goes to Tatsu Car Club. Tatsu’s stand was extremely well presented and featured many diverse models and styles of Japanese performance cars, reflecting the spirit of the show.

All in all it was a great action packed day. We hope all who attended will agree and would welcome any feedback, get in touch using the link below. If you missed it, the good news is that it’ll be back in May 2009. We’re already looking forward to next year, planning bigger and better things to further improve the show - see you then!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the event supporters: Mitsubishi Motors, Sky Insurance, Rare Rims, Toxic Rides, Millers Oils, Meguiar’s, Driftworks, Redline Magazine, and of course each of the car clubs and exhibitors who attended.
