Traffic: Getting to Japfest 2013

Due to issues with the volume of traffic last year, we have changed some of the parking arrangements for this year’s event. There will not be any public car parking within the grounds of the circuit. All public car parking for non pass holders will be in the fields across the road.

This is to help with the flow of the vehicle movement and control the traffic. With this in mind the event will not open until 09:30 so please do not get here any earlier than necessary as you will be unable to gain access to the show until the gates officially open to the public at 09:30.

Wiltshire Police will be patrolling the event and the surrounding roadways throughout the day. They will be performing spot checks and monitoring speed so please drive carefully.

A message from Wiltshire Police.

The Police have asked us to put up the following statement regarding safe driving and their presence around the roads at Japfest.

Wiltshire Police are reminding motorists attending the Japfest event at Castle Combe race circuit on Saturday 11th May 2013 that Roads Policing Officers will be patrolling in both marked and unmarked vehicles. This will provide a visible reassurance that the area being patrolled to deter inconsiderate and unsafe driving practices which can only have a positive effect on those who reside or travel in the area.

Wiltshire Police are advising anyone attending the event to ensure that their vehicles are road legal and especially after the event where many vehicles have been used on the circuit.

Japfest, part of the Adrian Flux Auto Series, is proud to confirm that 100 tickets to the event have been made available for the Armed Forces via charity ‘Tickets for Troops’. For the fourth consecutive year, 50 pairs are available on a first come, first served basis.

About Tickets for Troops

• For more information about Tickets for Troops, please visit www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk
• Tickets for Troops (TFT) was set up in 2009 to provide members of the Armed Forces with free tickets for major sporting events, theatre performances, music concerts and cultural attractions.
• Since launching TFT has allocated 350,000 tickets and over 120,000 troops have registered on the website www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk
• These tickets are available on the Tickets for Troops website to troops who are currently serving or who have been medically discharged since 2001. The partnership has allowed members of the Armed Forces and their families to escape from the stresses that are often associated with the work they do.
