Japfest 2012 – Traffic statement

Firstly, thanks to all of you who attended Japfest’s 10th anniversary show at the weekend, we hope you had a great day! The sun was shining and thousands of you descended on the circuit.

With more people arriving to purchase a ticket on the gate than ever before, the amount of event traffic increased and that meant that unfortunately some of you were stuck in queues for longer than usual on your journey to Castle Combe Circuit. Due to unforeseen traffic congestion the police took steps to close the roads at around 3pm. This was something we had to take the Police’s guidance on and we empathise with anyone who got turned away from the event at this stage in the day and extend our sympathy for everyone that waited in a queue of traffic on the way into Japfest 2012.

There are already discussions going ahead and plans being put in place to prevent this happening again in future years. In the mean time, if you have any comments or complaints about your experience getting to and from the event this year then please send them to: events.auto@futurenet.com and we will get back to you.

We appreciate your patience with the entry and exit process at Japfest 2012 but know from lots of feedback already received that it was worth the wait when you got into the event!
